Designed for those working in health and other human services policy and planning, research, or leadership roles across public, NGO or private health and social service sectors alike, this course is an introduction to a health ecosystems research approach and the tools used to map, classify, and evaluate health, disability, and social services to inform health policy and planning.

Available online or face-to-face, you’ll engage with content and discussion with experts to gain the necessary skills to:

  • analyse and classify health, disability and social services using the DESDE service classification system.
  • use the DESDE system in combination with other tools using a health ecosystems research approach such as Geographic Information Systems, Integrated Atlases of care and digital interactive mapping systems.
  • apply health ecosystems research approach and information from Integrated Atlases of Service Provision for better informed health policy and planning.
