Visual Poetry 101 with Caren Florance
Workshop description
This is a one-day poetry workshop for people wanting to play with page-space and visual ways to experiment with words. We will be experimenting with a variety of methods and media, including collage, stamping, redaction, typewriting, pens and paints. Things will get messy so wear old clothes and be prepared to have fun. The medium is the message!
Presenter biography
Dr Caren Florance mixes art and writing all the time. Her creative practice includes collaborative page-spaces such as artist books, posters, broadsides and zines. She has one commercial poetry volume and it is seriously vispo: Lost in Case (Cordite, 2019).
