Terms and conditions
- By participating in the competition, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of the competition committee. All decisions on selecting the winner of the competition made by the judging panel are final.
- The competition committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner and may refuse to award any prize to a person who is ineligible or has violated any rule, gained unfair advantage in participating in the competition, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means, including the use of generative AI.
- The competition committee reserves the right to reject entries with objectionable content, e.g. obscenity or an undue degree of violence.
- The competition committee reserves the right not to award category prizes should the quality of submissions not warrant.
- By submitting these images, the entrants thereby grant the University of Canberra Faculty of Arts and Design the right to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, modify, publish and otherwise make use of the submitted work or other information in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created, throughout the world and for any purpose. In addition to other things, the rights granted to the University of Canberra Faculty of Arts and Design includes, but is not limited to, the right to resize, crop, censor, compress, edit, feature, caption, affix logos to, and to otherwise alter or make use of the submitted work.
- By submitting an entry, entrants thereby represent and warrant that the submitted work or information does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party, and the entrants the right to grant any and all rights and licenses granted to the contest sponsors herein, including but not limited to, all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.
- There is no limit to the amount of entries a student can submit, however depending on submissions received each year, the competition committee may only approve a selection of submissions to be published on the web gallery.
- The competition committee reserves the right to merge subcategories as deemed appropriate and/or depending on submission numbers.
- Prizes are subject to change depending on both the number and quality of submissions received.
- The Faculty Study Grants will cover the applicable domestic fee amount and must be redeemed within 12 months following Year 12 completion and is subject to successful admission into an Arts and Design degree. The 1-year study grant will be split into 2 equal amounts across the winning student’s first 2 semesters of study.
- Adobe partnership and prize contribution to be confirmed and updated each year.
- Prizes supported by Edii are to be confirmed and updated each year.
- By submitting an entry, you give permission for the University of Canberra, Faculty of Arts and Design to contact you in regard to UC Creative Competition, upcoming events and opportunities relevant to you, as well as our course offerings at our Canberra and Brisbane campuses.
- By submitting an entry, you consent to the University of Canberra providing your personal details (full name, mobile number and email) to Adobe and/or Edii, if you are awarded a prize associated with either of these organisations. These details are required to finalise your prizes if you are awarded an Adobe subscription, Adobe mentoring session or the Edii Marker2Market online experience. Your personal information will be managed in accordance with that organisation’s privacy policy.
