The next generation of learners need teachers like you. As part of the National Teacher Workforce Action Plan, the Australian Government is offering individuals starting an Education degree in 2025 the opportunity to receive a scholarship worth up to $40,000 for an undergraduate degree and $20,000 for a postgraduate degree.
Applications for 2024 are now closed, with applications for 2025 opening in late 2024.
NSW Teacher Education Scholarship
Are you planning to teach in New South Wales? The NSW Department of Education is offering new and continuing education students (including UC students) up to $7,500 per year in financial support, a $6,000 appointment allowance and a permanent position in a NSW public school upon completion.

Interested in studying a Certificate lll, Diploma or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education? Earn, learn and teach with UC's School-based Teaching Education Program (UC STEP). UC STEP offers you the unique opportunity to undertake paid school-based work all while studying a Master of Primary or Secondary Teaching. From day one, you'll work as a paid Learning Support Assistant (LSA), and by your second year, transition into a teaching role with a Permit to Teach (PTT), gaining invaluable hands-on experience and the skills needed to succeed in the classroom.
With a $20,000 scholarship and guidance from experienced mentors, UC STEP equips you to build a rewarding career in education.
