Our Lonely Planet is a free-verse poem about how lonely we are in this universe; and ultimately, the way we treat this planet will affect its longevity. The melancholic tone of the piece serves as a reminder of how important it is to protect what we have. There is no backup plan if Earth is ruined at the hands of humanity. Such a theme is highly relevant in our society as we face global challenges such as climate change where what we do today defines life or death in the future.
