Dr Samantha Johnson
Samantha inspires her students to become leaders of the future

PHD IN MANAGEMENT AND ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR, 2012, GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, 2007

Dr Samantha Johnson's foundation is built upon her passion for training and mentoring others, something she gets to do every day as a Senior Consultant with the Centre for Public Management (CPM), a division of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and as a Phd supervisor. "I gain a great deal from helping people achieve their goals and from inspiring people. I like to leave people feeling positive about their work and their lives and inspire them to perform better," she says. Samantha has had a long and outstanding commitment to UC, and earned both a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and a PhD in Management and Organisational Behaviour from UC.

Samantha originally began developing employee training programs for the Australian Public Service in 2000 while still working on her undergraduate degree. After gaining her Grad Dip and PhD, Samantha went on to develop management and leadership programs for Australian government departments, such as DFAT, Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Environment and the Department of Finance.

From 2006 through to 2013, Samantha taught in the School of Business, Government and Law, in an adjunct role at UC. Samantha says "The best part about lecturing at UC was inspiring students to want to learn and to do well, so that they enjoy their university experience." We're glad to have had Samantha on our team, using her invaluable skills to train leaders of the future. She is now writing and supervising at the doctoral level and in early 2015 she and her colleagues will publish a new book linking HR research and HR practice.
