Health and Physical Education learning environments that are fit for purpose in Australian schools

About

This program of research aims at working with leaders, educators, families, and community stakeholders in school settings to promote Heath and Physical Education programs that are educative, student-centred, and fit for purpose. We refer this as quality Heath and Physical Education. Moving beyond narrowed views and stigma of this subject area to alignment with curriculum (the what we teach and learn), pedagogy (the how we teach and learn), and assessment (the why we teach and learn). This work is about reimagining what Health and Physical Education can be for future generation educators and students, by looking beyond the classroom and gym walls, towards meaningful whole school approaches and social benefits.
