Subject adjustment factors

-
Adjustment factors awarded to recent Year 12 graduates based on your performance in Year 12 subjects directly related to your chosen UC course.
At UC there are a number of ways you can gain admission into your preferred course.
If you apply to UC through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and meet the entry requirements for your course, you’ll receive an offer in the main UAC offer round in January. If you’re not sure you meet the requirements, or would like to secure an offer before the main round, we have a range of admissions programs that can help.
The type of student you are, as well as your background, current study circumstances, the course level you’re applying for, and the way you’re applying to UC, will all determine which admissions programs you’ll be eligible for.

The Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) is for domestic students currently completing an Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification who’d like to apply for an undergraduate degree at UC.
SRS provides you with an early offer for your UC course, based on the recommendation of your school, before you receive your ATAR.
Studying in the UC Accelerated Pathways Program will complement your ACT Year 11 and 12 College studies and give you access to the library, computer systems and modern learning and research facilities at UC.
You'll thrive in an environment where innovation, collaboration and hands-on experience unite to expand your horizons and create a pathway to your future.
Special consideration is available to all domestic students applying for undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees, and international students applying for undergraduate degrees.
You may be able to receive special consideration if you’ve experienced educational disadvantage because of challenging circumstances beyond your control during times of previous study. If you let us know these factors, our Admissions team will take them into consideration when they assess your application.
Portfolio entry is available for domestic and international students applying for UC undergraduate courses in arts and design, the built environment, or communication and media study areas.
It lets you potentially receive an offer for your course based on the merits of your creative portfolio, rather than your previous studies or qualifications.
The Early Offer Scheme is for domestic and international students currently completing a tertiary study package or International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification in a school in the ACT or NSW, and who would like to apply for an undergraduate degree at UC.
The Early Offer Scheme provides you with an early offer for your UC courses, based on your Year 11 results and a personal statement, before you receive your ATAR.
We recognise your commitment to your country and your experience serving in the Australian Defence Force. As a current or former member of Defence, you are invited to participate in our Veteran Tertiary Support Program (VTSP).
Adjustment factors are additional points that can be added to your Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR), or equivalent qualification, to boost your selection rank and help you get into your chosen course. A maximum of 20 adjustment factors can be added to your ATAR to create your selection rank. At UC, we award adjustment factors in three ways.
Adjustment factors awarded to recent Year 12 graduates based on your performance in Year 12 subjects directly related to your chosen UC course.
Processed via UAC, these adjustment factors are for Year 12 graduates who have experienced significant disadvantage in the final years of schooling.
Extra selection rank points for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, Australian Defence Force staff, army reservists and elite athletes.
