UC staff honoured by Rotary

29 January 2014: Four University of Canberra staff have received Pride of Workmanship Awards from the Rotary Club of Ginninderra.

Patrice Fox, Tim McLauchlan, Laurie Poretti and Dan Rowe were presented with their awards at a ceremony on 19 November.

The awards are designed to encourage and acknowledge the efforts of employees who produce outstanding work for the University, with staff invited to nominate colleagues they felt met the criteria and deserved recognition for their efforts.

Long-serving staff member Patrice Fox was recognised for her outstanding work as team leader in the Library, where she consistently demonstrates enthusiasm and pride for her workplace. Ms Fox has worked at the University for more than 28 years.

Clinical psychologist Tim McLauchlan received his award for his work ethic, extensive skills he brings to his job at headspace ACT, and his role in additional education programs to increase mental health literacy in the local community.
