Experience Canberra’s university at UC Open Day

24 August 2018: Prospective students from all over Australia will descend on the University of Canberra tomorrow to experience what it’s like to live, work and study at Canberra’s university.

Visitors will get a glimpse of the transformational power of education and how studying at the University of Canberra can set them on the path to their dream career.

Open Day is a chance for people seeking higher education to explore the campus and its facilities and speak with academic staff to learn about their study and career options.

Textbooks and lecture theatres aside, there will be entertainment options for all ages. Start the day with a free big breakfast, meet local sports stars, experience the University in virtual reality, and meet the Vice-Chancellor’s team.

Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Deep Saini said visitors wouldn’t be disappointed.

“We are looking forward to meeting so many of our future students and welcoming them into our community,” Professor Saini said.

“At the University of Canberra, we pride ourselves on the practicality of our courses and this will be demonstrated at Open Day through over a hundred hands-on workshops and displays.

“Visitors will also be able to tour our campus, meet with academic staff to map out their learning journey and explore extracurricular options like studying abroad.

“Open Day is a once-a-year opportunity to experience life at the University of Canberra. We are Canberra’s university and we are open for business.”
