UC Book of the Year turns new page

4 November 2015: Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Klomp will announce the 2016 University of Canberra Book of the Year TOMORROW.

The winner has been selected from a shortlist of six award-winning Australian debut novels:

  • Lost and Found (Brooke Davis)
  • After the Fire, a Still Small Voice (Evie Wyld)
  • A Fraction of the Whole (Steve Toltz)
  • The Night Guest (Fiona McFarlane)
  • The Strays (Emily Bitto)
  • After Darkness (Christine Piper)

The University of Canberra Book Project, now in its fourth year, provides a book to all commencing students and staff at the University with the aim to generate conversation, discussion and engagement within the community. Past winning books include Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey, Room by Emma Donoghue and The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.

The author of the 2016 UC Book of the Year will attend the launch and will be available for interview.
