Biography

Rachel Campbell is a Clinical Liaison Nurse at the University of Canberra. Rachel has over 25 years’ experience in nursing working as a Registered Nurse in Australia and the United States of America. She has worked in various areas of nursing including general medical/surgical, community, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, and perioperative care. Rachel has over 10 years’ experience in higher education and is passionate about clinical education and the role of the registered nurse. In her current role she supports and assesses Bachelor of Nursing students during their professional experience placement in a wide variety of clinical settings. In this role, Rachel develops partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance the student placement experience and assists academic convenors in facilitating practice-based simulation workshops. Rachel is committed to continuous professional development and has recently been awarded fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
